Also look for discounts if you have a good student in the home, if you are retired, if you drive a new car or an economy car, if you drive a utility vehicle or a farm vehicle and if you have a student in the family that lives away at school.

Allstate is motivated to keep teen drivers safe as well as others that are in their path on the roads. 1. Allstate driver forgiveness does not exist. I have been with Allstate for the past seven years and although they speak of discounts they do not exist. Allstate applies discounts such as accident forgiveness and claims the policy holder should not see a rate increase after a first accident. Allstate also claims there is a “Safe Driving Bonus” which gives you a check of 5% of your premium every six months that are accident-free. They also claim that the policy holder can enjoy $100 off of their deductible each year that you are accident-free as well. Well this is not true at all. I have not been in an accident for the seven years I have been with Allstate, recently I was in an accident and my premium went up 40%, I never recieved 100.00 off my deductible as a matter of fact I paid a five hundred dollar deductible to repair my car, and I have never received 5% off of my premium every six months for the past seven years that I have been accident free. Although they talk a good talk and it looks good on paper I have been paying extra for these services and when the time comes for them to honor their discounts they do not. I have been paying an extra $350.00 over the course of one year for the accident and they removed the premier plus discount of 121.00 from my policy and I payed my deductible without ever receiving 100.00 off of my deductible for the past seven years of being with Allstate. I believe they have some explaining to do. Oh yes and they were kind enough to send me a notice stating that they have applied accident forgiveness to my policy as if I wouldn’t notice that indeed the increase was applied. Thank you for choosing Allstate–It’s been a pleasure screwing you!
